What are SecuraStock Add-On Units?

Add-On units are modular cabinets, drawers, scales, and bins that extend a SecuraStock main solution. They are not standalone products - each one bolts onto or feeds data into a host unit (SecuraStock vending, SecuraLocker, SecuraTower, SecuraCrib storeroom, or SecuraPort jobsite unit) and shares the same SecuraSmart software for inventory tracking.

Which main solutions accept add-ons?

Five host products: SecuraStock vending machines, SecuraLocker, SecuraTower, SecuraCrib storerooms, and SecuraPort portable units. Each one takes a different mix of add-ons depending on what the operation needs - drawer modules for parts, locker columns for tools, scale-equipped bins for weight-based count, and open-access shelving for bulk.

Can I add SecuraScales to an existing SecuraStock cabinet?

Yes. SecuraScales weight-based bin platforms drop into SecuraStock and SecuraLocker cabinets to give 100 percent inventory accuracy on the items that matter most. The scales feed counts into SecuraSmart the same way the cabinet does, so you get one inventory picture, not two.

Do add-ons require any extra software?

No. SecuraSmart, the software that ships with every main solution, handles every add-on type. New add-ons get assigned to SKUs in the existing SecuraSmart dashboard. No second login, no separate database, no integration project.

How long does an add-on installation take?

Most add-ons install in under a shift. Drawer modules and shelf-mounted scales are bolt-on jobs. SecuraCrib add-ons (camera modules, access points) take longer because they involve the room itself, but a typical retrofit still completes in a single visit from the distributor's install team.

Can I retrofit add-ons to a main unit I bought years ago?

Yes. Add-ons are designed to retrofit to existing SecuraStock fleet. Cabinets installed back to the original product launch in 2011 still take current add-on modules. Older units get a software update during the add-on install so the new modules show up in SecuraSmart correctly.

Is there a warranty on add-on units?

Three years, same as the main solutions. Add-on hardware uses the same design philosophy - no exposed delicate components, no consumable parts that fail on a calibration cycle. Most warranty events on add-ons resolve remotely via SecuraSmart.

How do I choose the right add-ons for my operation?

The distributor sales engineer scopes the right mix during a 20-minute Zoom demo. Workflow questions like 'what items walk off the most', 'where do you lose cycle count accuracy', and 'where do off-shift workers need access' drive the answer. There is no universal add-on package - the right mix depends on the operation.
